Q: Who are your influences? When you were coming up which artists did you listen to?
A: Some of my influences are Babyface, The Dream, Tank, NeYo, and the whole Motown Label back in the 60's. When I was coming up I listened to everything Motown, Boyz II Men, New Edition, and my influences.

Q: If you could compare yourself to an even more established artist than yourself, who would that be and why?

A: I'm not sure who, but I have heard from others that I sound like the dream, and NeYo at times. Its probably the way I write my songs and hooks for others and myself. What ever it is I'm glad I can even be associated with them.

Q: Who is your music hero?
A: I would say my music hero is Babyface because it was him that I felt made real R&B music. Something that people can connect to on an emotional level.

Q: What do you think your listeners will get out of your music?
A: My listeners will be able to connect with my music, and hopefully remember a time in their lives where they were going through the same thing the song speaks of.

Q: What were you thinking about when your single “I Love You” was developed?
A: When I was writing I Love You, it was an experience that I went through in my life with a past relationship. So to get through it I wrote my feelings about that situation, hoping that others would connect to it.

Q: What made you want to get into the business?
A: Its kinda something that just happened. I have been around music my whole life, so it would he crazy for me not to get into it. Plus I went to a music high school, and met tons of people in the business, so it just felt right.

Q: What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life?
A: I'm not really sure about that, I don't really look at things being hard, I take it as an experience/situation that I now have to deal with and keep it moving. I don't like to dwell in the past.

Q: What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life?
A: Music industry, I would say starting my label with my friend and partner. That shit is not easy to do, and still be an artist/songwriter ... LOL.

Q: How have your life experiences shape the artist that you have become?
A: My experiences have shaped me a lot because I don't wrote a song just to write it, I need to have it connect to my life, or who ever I'm writing the song about.

Q: What do you hope to do with your music?
A: Well I just want it to get heard, and people like it. Of course the fame, who don't want that. I want people to know that real R&B is there.

Q: How do you plan to help change the world with your music?
A: Well I won't say I'm here to change the world with my music, because to me it's just not. Now, making people feel good and have something that they connect to and relax their mind for this short 3 or 4 minute song, that's my job as an artist, in my opinion.

Q: What is your 'vision' for your single?  What message are you trying to send?
A: Just to send love.

Q: How would you describe your “roots” (where you came from) and where do you intend to go?
A: I would say that my roots are from a good loving family. I'm not going to lie, I did have a silver spoon in my mouth growing up, and still do, but I was also taught that my position in life could have been obtained by anyone, so don't think you're better than anyone else. Where I plan to go is further than family before me. Things always get better with time.

Q: Do you feel you are working toward, on the brink of, or have attained your break?
A: I would say that I'm still working toward it. Although I have a distribution deal with Island Def Jam, at the end of the day, its not a record recording deal. As far as people knowing my music and enjoying what I am doing thus far, that puts me a step closer to my break.

Q: Are there any questions you were expecting that I didn't ask and want to answer?
A: Naw not that I can think of, but if you are reading this, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @EfficialDudley
