The Innovative and Creative Blog had the opportunity to do a Q&A with Team Prolific, a group of Hip Hop MC's on the fast track to success with profound lyricism and an original sound. The group came together because of their love for music and staying true to their name, their work has exemplified an abundance of productive thought productive material. Q: Who are your influences? When you were coming up which artists did you each listen to?
A: Neme-For me my biggest influences coming up was Wu and Nas nothing bigger than those two. Zin O.d –I have to second Neme with Wu and Nas, and i got to put Bone up their am a big fan. Flamez-Word up M.O.P, Big, Jay, Pun just everybody that was doing their thing you know. All the Prolific artist out there.

Q: If each of you could compare yourself to an even more established artist than yourself, who would that be and why?
A: Flamez-We can’t compare ourselves to someone else we just do us.

Q: Who is each member's hip hop hero?
A: Flamez-Treach; Zin O.d Dmx and Nas; Neme Wu-Tang and Nas

Q: What do you think your listeners will get out of your music?
A: Flamez- I think the people will get something real something authentic from listening to Pro. We are  bringing back originality to the music.

Q: What were you thinking about when your single was developed?
A: Zin O.d-This is it, this is the one. When it was coming out of the studio speakers that’s all that was going thru my head, we got a big one on our hands.


Q: What made each of you want to get into the business?
A: Neme-That’s simple, the love of the music!

Q: As a group and individually, what is the most difficult thing you have endured in the music industry?  A: Flamez-The business and all the bull shit that comes along with it.

Q: How did the group come together and what is the significance of your name?
A: Neme-The group came together in a typical fashion you know back in high school. It used to be a lot  more of us and we went by a different name back then, but we came up rhyming in the lunch room. Zin O.d-Neme and Flamez were my brother’s friends I forced my way in the group lol. And Zin is the name my momma gave me, and O.d is what I do. Flamez –Word and my name speaks for it self. Neme-Neme is short for Nemesis, I had to cut it down cause there was to many people running around with that name.

Q: What do you hope to do with your music?   
A:  Zin O.d- See the world and give the people what they been missing. Flamez-Take care of our families and live the lifestyle like we sposed’ to

Q: How do you plan to help change the world with your music?
A: Neme- Were musicians not diplomats, so all we can do is lead by example and continue to make prolific music.


Q: What is your 'vision' for your single?  What message are you trying to send?
A: Flamez- There is no big over all message in “Getting Down” we just showing the people what we do.
Neme-And the vision for the song “Getting Down” is like everyone else who release records, for it to be as big as possible. Shout out to Lauren at Alli Sports for reaching out to the Pro to get the song for the Dew tour.

Q: How would you describe your “roots” (where you came from) and where do you intend to go individually and collectively? Hip hop.
A: Zin O.d- We are taking this all the way to the top, we in it to win it. Flamez-Neme and I are both from NY, me the BX and him Brooklyn. Zin O.d –  I am a Florida native. We all come from musical families, like if you go to Flamez crib the is music playing 24 hours a day you know what I saying ,music Is real deep for us it’s in our blood . My momma and both my brothers sing.

Q: Do you feel you are working toward, on the brink of, or have attained your break?
A: Zin O.d-We right there… we on the brink

Q: Tell us about your EP “The Movement”?
A: Flamez-The Movement is that next wave, there are lots of movements but this is that new movement. This is the Beginning

Q: Who are the producers on the project?
A: Neme- We worked with a lot of dope producers on this project. We got Daywalker handling a lot of the production we also got the big homie San Calo, Slimbtz and Sutta Caine on “The Movement”
